Option 1 Go Natural

If left untreated, teak acquires a distinct attractive rustic look. Very natural and easy to maintain. Simply wash in the spring time with a mild soap and water to clean. It should acquire a silver grey patina resembling the likes a piece of driftwood.

Option 2 Go Preserve

To preserve the natural golden colour of teak, easily apply teak oil with a brush and cloth, wipe of the excess oil with a soft cloth. This will have to be done once a month during the summer. It is recommended to store teak indoors for the winter if using teak oil to save yourself some work.

Both options require you to clean your furniture ensure they look the best.

Cleaning Teak Furniture

If your Teak furniture requires cleaning this can be done with a normal household bristle brush and some warm mildly soapy water. Wash down afterwards with clean water.

We do not recommend the use of high pressure hoses or steel wire brushes to speed up the cleaning process as this will shorten your teak furniture life span.

If the furniture has some stubborn and heavily ingrained stains these can be removed by sanding with a fine grade of sandpaper, being sure to work only with the direction of the timber grain.
